The meeting was held at the Vice Chancellor’s office Osun State University, Osogbo on Wednesday 14th June, 2023 and have in attendance the following: The Vice Chancellor, Osun State University, Professor Odunayo Clement Adebooye, the Deputy Vice Chancellor for Academics, Research, Innovation and Partnership, Professor Anthony Kola Olusanya, CRIN team led by Dr. S.O. Agbeniyi who represented the Executive Director, Dr. M.O. Ogunlade, Dr. C.O. Jayeola and Dr. Anna Muyiwa. The Vice Chancellor welcomed the CRIN team, acknowledged the letter sent by CRIN and promised to do the needful. Dr. Agbeniyi, in his response, brought greetings from the Executive Director (CRIN). He then presented CRIN’s 5 points agenda which includes: Joint staff exchange, Joint proposal writing, Joint collaborative research, Awareness and training and Research Professor for qualified staff of CRIN. Dr. M.O Ogunlade buttressed the need for collaboration especially on proposal writing, he informed the host of the current collaboration between CRIN and USDA on the TRACE project.
The Vice Chancellor supported all the five points presented by CRIN. He appreciated the CRIN team on behalf of the University Senate and promised to do everything to make the collaboration possible. Dr Agbeniyi also thanked the Vice Chancellor for the hospitality accorded the team.
